The “Univeral Time Coordinated” (UTC) corresponds with the formerly used “Greenwich Mean Time” and is used in seafaring and aviation for all time indications. It corresponds to the time at the zero meridian, which goes through the Greenwich village in England. Would one always use the local time, it can happen that the arrival time is before the departure time, if one has crossed a time zone border on the journey.

Can the relatives attend the ash scattering service?
We do not offer this option.
We do have a beautiful 21' boat, but due to the high cost of insurance for taking passengers we do not offer attended ash scattering service at this time. This allows us to keep the rates we charge for our service very affordable.
Because of the continiously changing wind and weather conditions we cannot guarantee a specific date and time for scattering the ashes into the Pacific Ocean. Frequently the ocean is too rough for a peaceful burial of the ashes several days in a row.
Do our local laws and regulations for sea burials also apply for dispersing the ashes off Hawaii?
For any burial the laws of the state or country where the burial takes place is applicable. As soon as the ash arrives in Hawaii, the regulations of the State of Hawaii apply.
